Cappa Beach Shelter Phase 1 & Phase 2

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project provides a shelter and amenities for swimmers in Cappa.

Phase 1 sees the construction of a shelter where swimmers can leave robes, towels, etc. and that provides protection from the elements while swimmers get ready or rest.

Phase 2 provides shower and baby-changing facilities and improves the toilet facilities.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

Sea swimming has increased in popularity over the last number of years with swimmers taking to the sea all year round. The shelter and amenities are an important addition to Cappa beach that will serve both residents and visitors. The project also supports both physical and mental health as well as tourism in the area.
