Kilrush Brass & Reed Band

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project seeks to set up and run a concert and marching brass and reed band for Kilrush and the surrounding area.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

Music is known to have a positive effect on mental health. A brass and reed band would combine this with a social and community aspect, crossing social and economic boundaries and so build community cohesion.

In addition the band could provide an additional income stream for its members and add yet another attraction to the town of Kilrush.
