Kilrush Community Garden: Additional Allotments

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project aims for the increase of allotments at the Kilrush Community Gardens and develop the gardens not only into a place to grow food but a community centre to build and care for relationships and so strengthen the community spirit. To achieve this additional land would need to be identified purchased.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

The demand for allotments at Kilrush Community Gardens is increasing. More and more people are interested in growing their own vegetables and fruit.

Doing so not only brings physical and mental health benefits, it is also a very sociable pastime uniting the community and building cohesion.
