Kilrush Counselling & Therapy Centre

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project seeks to locate and develop a space for counselling and therapy sessions in Kilrush to service the wider Kilrush area. The centre could also service as a walk-in facility for people who feel they need immediate help.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

Rural Ireland has long been struggling with mental health issues. The number of people affected and seeking help has been increasing even more since the Covid-19 pandemic, and Kilrush and its wider area are no exception to this trend. While trained personal is available, Kilrush is missing a suitable and save space for people to come to, seek help and attend counselling sessions.
