Kilrush Defibrillator Project Phase 2

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project seeks to revive the Defibrillator Group in Kilrush which has been inactive since the initial phase of the project. The project will seek to establish trainers within the group and open up training to the wider public.

A core group of responders will also be established and the group will seek to be linked to the NAS (National Ambulance Service).

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

This project would be of considerable benefit to community health. Response time to acute cardiac events could be minimised and survival rates increased. The project would also reduce pressure on the NAS.
