Kilrush Guiding Framework

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project aims to develop a framework for the holistic future of the town of Kilrush. The duration of this framework is anticipated to match the County Development Plan 2023-2028 and is set in the national context of the National Development Plan (NDP) and the National Planning Framework (NPF) of Project Ireland 2040.

The framework takes into account key capital projects either in development or at feasibility stage. A number of detailed case studies on key Kilrush landmarks and related issues are acknowledged. More broadly, the framework draws together themes within a series of recent studies and policy documents in specific sectoral areas.

The intent of the project is to provide a coherent framework for Kilrush across specific and broad issues, set within national policy. This would allow to identify and address issues and projects needed to enhance Kilrush for both residents and visitors.
