PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project is part of a wider project with focus points in north, east and west Clare, funded by CLDC and facilitated by AstonECO.

This project will explore energy usage in the household in conjunction with Kilrush residents, develop easy solutions to reduce energy usage and subsequently save money as well as looking into home improvement and renewable energy options for households.

This will be done online - Zoom meetings, an interactive website, social media - and in-person workshops and meetings and also offer the opportunity to exchange experiences and learn from other communities.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

The way we produce and use energy is one of the major topics of our time and the recent increase in energy prices has put the topic on everybody's agenda and affected the everyday life of many.

Reducing energy usage and considering renewable alternatives is however not always easy. This project will develop around the needs and questions of energy users and offer solutions and explain alternatives and so ease the burden on energy users.
