Kilrush Summer Festival

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The last festival held in Kilrush took place in 2012. This project seeks to revive the festival tradition in Kilrush and is exploring the development of a yearly, 2-day summer festival in Kilrush featuring music and other entertainment. 

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

Summer festivals have a big tradition in Ireland. A major festival held in Kilrush would not only be an opportunity to celebrate the town and its heritage but would also be a major attraction for visitors and so have a positive impact on tourism.
