Kilrush Youth Council

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project seeks to establish a youth council for the wider Kilrush area to allow the younger generation input and shape the future of the town and surrounds.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

The younger generation is the one that will have to live with the decisions authorities are making today yet they have little or no impact on those decisions.

The Kilrush Youth Council would give the younger generation a voice and opportunity to actively participate in planning and shaping Kilrush's future. It would encourage and nurture creative thinking and critical analysis of policies.

This would not only make Kilrush more inclusive but also might encourage young people to stay in the area instead of moving away in search for better opportunities.
