Map of Government Support Schemes for Kilrush Communities

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kilrush has a variety of community support schemes available, run by DSP (Department of Social Protection) and CLDC (Clare Local Development Company) and which are used by community groups to improve the town.

Understanding what schemes are available and to match the right scheme to the right project can be tricky. This project would create a map of all community schemes and supports that are available and give examples for which kind of project they could be used for.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

Exploring and finding funding opportunities and support mechanisms for community projects is time consuming. Having a document at hand that would make this task easier would save valuable time and allow community volunteers to concentrate more on the actual project planning and implementation.

The concept could also be used to support other towns and areas in County Clare and beyond and be used as opportunity to build new partnerships.
