Reimagine: Irish Architecture Foundation

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project allowed for Kilrush to participate in the community-led architecture and design programme ‘Reimagine’ lead by Irish Architecture Foundation.

Six towns including Kilrush were confirmed by the Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF) to participate in 'Reimagine'. The objective for Kilrush was to create a plan and vision for the public areas of the town with a particular emphasis on Frances Street and Market Square.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

The project aims to bring together communities, architects, designers and planners to develop projects which will enhance the local environment of the chosen locations around Ireland.

It is hoped that the outcome of the project will create a pride of place and plant new ideas to further enhance the town image and infrastructure.
