Kilrush Walking Route Safety

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project seeks to review existing popular walking routes to assess them for public safety and carry out works as required including repair and improvement of existing infrastructure and installation of traffic lights where necessary.

The walks included in this project are:

• Soldiers Hill: Complete

• Coast Guard Road: Complete

• Cappa Coast Walk: In progress

• Fort Road: In planning

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

Recent events in the country have highlighted the need to ensure the safety of walkers on public walking routes. This review will address any possible issues and so ensure the safety of residents and visitors alike, enhancing Kilrush's reputation as a safe pedestrian town.
