Additional Parking

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project seeks to develop an additional car park for town centre parking or developing a park & ride system (e.g. using the Kilrush Town Train) to connect off-centre parking with the town centre.

Phase 1 of this project would be the identification of suitable sites for the development, followed by Phase 2, the actual planning, development and construction of the car park(s).

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

In anticipation of a major urbanisation development of Frances Street and to facilitate the growing number of visitors to the town, integration of car parking is needed.

This car park would be integrated with the revitalisation of Kilrush town centre and would benefit both businesses and visitor attractions in the town.
