Kilrush Active Full Size Astro Turf

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project seeks to develop a full size GAA astro turf on the Kilrush Active grounds.

This could be part of a wider Kilrush Active Rejuvenation project.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

Currently there is no full size GAA astro turf in West Clare. With training going on all year round and grass pitches regularly becoming waterlogged over the winter a full size astro turf would provide a valuable training alternative for Ireland's national sports.

The pitch could be used by all West Clare GAA teams (and potentially other sports organisations & teams) and would make Kilrush a prime location for sports in County Clare.
