Kilrush Running Track

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project seeks to enhance and further develop the running track at Kilrush Active. This would include to extend and improve the existing ash surface track, develop a cross-country track and install lighting if and where necessary.

This project could be jointly developed with the Kilrush Active Full Size Astro Turf project and be part of a wider Kilrush Active Rejuvenation project.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION & OBJECTIVES

This project would further enhance the already existing outdoor sports facilities in Kilrush.

The addition of running tracks would open the opportunity to develop a dedicated running club and would have a generally positive impact on physical and mental health for all generations.
